| Joint Base Langley - Eustis was established when the 2010 Base Realignment combined the commands of Langley Air Force Base with nearby Fort Eustis. The joint basing saw the US Air Force take control of the railway operations, while the US Army would continue to oversee military railway training and certification. In summary the USAF controls the freight trains and the Army is responsible for all rail education programs. |
