Delaware Coast Line, Milton Branch  Contributor's Pick!
The Delaware Coast Line Railroad has placed one of their switchers outside the small township of Ellendale, Delaware, ready to move some tank cars off of the Milton Branch, but due to engine problems another locomotive was called to do the job. The Milton Branch is only used for storage; however a new propane company near Milton (Gravel Hill Road) may need rail service in the future. This GE 44-Ton Diesel was built in 1953, numbered USN 65-00344 it last served at Dahlgren NSWC in Virginia. Seen here in Ellendale, DCLR 44 is just moment away from being covered in snow!
