The local to Yorktown used to originate in Newport News go west to the Amoco wye and then shove to Yorktown. In 2012 the Amoco Refinery was purchased by Plaines American, and the refinery yard was expanded to handle unit trains of crude oil. A large loop track eliminated the need to shove up the branch. |
