Cold Warrior
Title:  Cold Warrior
Description:  This is an EMD version of the MRS-1, ALCO also did a version. It was built to "Soviet Railway Standards" for the cold war in the 1950's. Saw service in Korea and was last used at MOT Sunny Point during the gulf war. It only has 1272 Hours of run time.

European Service Cars
Title:  European Service Cars
Description:  Fort Eustis has many attractions such as the Transportation Museum and the many picnic areas along the James River. Here two of the museum's damaged European service cars sit across from the picnic areas waiting repair. The flat car is used as an adaptor, link pin coupling on one end and a knuckle on the other.

Lima S-160
Title:  Lima S-160
Description:  This steam engine was one of the last 2-8-0s built by Lima Locomotive Works in 1945. It was built for the army and originally numbered 5187 in WWII, then renumbered 607 in 1952. Known to the army as the S160 series engine many were sent to Europe in the months proceeding Normandy, in which they were called the S160 class by British Railways. In May 1972 the 607 arrived at the museum under its own power; however a lot of internal work must be done to get it running now.

Title:  Fort Eustis Military Railway in the Army Transportation Museum
Description:  Built on a 36' boxcar frame in the 1950's by the 763th Railway Battalion this caboose saw service at Fort Eustis until 1973 when donated to the museum. Restored 11-2008.

Title:  U.S. Army Transportation Museum
Description:  42' Narrow Gauge 0-6-0 built by Vulcan Iron Works in 1942 for use in Australia, Sudan, or Africa. It came to Fort Eustis in 1945 where it was used by the Transportation School.

Description:  The 10K Atlas Forklift has parked on the old foundation of Patton Station after loading a flat car with rail taken from the passing track. USAX 38304 is a 100-ton flat built by Magor Car Corp in 1953, the rail aboard the car is being moved to the Transportation Museum to become a new siding for exhibits.
